Angela Hawkins RGN

I’ve been a specialist women’s health nurse in leading London cancer centres since 1999. After a five-year sabbatical working in gynaecology in Cape Town, I returned to the NHS during the height of the pandemic to support women through some of their toughest days.

With 26 years of oncology experience, I’ve seen treatments evolve, but the need for genuine, accessible care remains the same. I’m British Menopause Society trained, with a real passion for helping women navigate menopause side effects after cancer. I believe knowledge is power, and I’m here to guide you through the “unmet questions” of recovery. If I don’t have the answer myself, my long-standing professional network means I can always find the right specialist for you.

Helen Davies RGN

I qualified as a chemotherapy nurse over a decade ago and have spent the intervening years working closely with people with cancer and other long term conditions across various London Trusts.

I have worked as a specialist nurse since 2016, latterly specialising in women’s health and breast cancer. I have seen first-hand the difference that excellent support can make to women and their families in terms of easing the burden of treatment, and improving quality of life long-term.

Each situation and person that we see is unique, and our aim is to help you prioritise what’s important to you, and to create a plan to achieve this. For some women this will be ‘to get through treatment’ and others it will be ‘to feel confident on holiday’ – all goals are valid and we look forward to helping you to reach them!

Patient testimonials

“Angela and Helen have made an incredibly difficult time in my life far more manageable through their care, compassion, and empathy. From the start of my treatment, they have gone above and beyond what I ever expected, not just medically, but personally.

“Their advice from reminding me to drink water throughout my chemotherapy, recommending an excellent wig specialist (where I ended up buying two wigs that helped me feel like myself), guiding me towards a specialist bra after my operation, to recommending my breast surgeon remove my port o cath (I was left with the tiniest of scars). These all made a huge difference to my confidence.

“Angela, at one point, spent an hour on the phone to my insurance company to help make sure I could access extended treatment where needed. That level of dedication says everything about the kind of people they are.

“Both are highly professional, extremely knowledgeable, and always approachable. They have made a real difference to my experience, and I will always appreciate the care and kindness they showed me during such a challenging time.” (Amanda, 2026)

“Having a breast care nurse by your side after a cancer diagnosis is like a comfort blanket. Knowing that your specialist nurse works closely with your consultants and understands the process inside out, is extremely comforting” (Anonymous, 2026)

“Every time I saw my breast surgeon, I found it so reassuring that Angela was around to answer any questions I had afterwards, always offering support and encouragement” (Anonymous, 2026)

“Knowing that your breast cancer nurse is at the end of the line, frequently checking in on you, makes a very scary time much easier to cope with” (Anonymous, 2026)

“There are certain people who come into your life exactly when you need them most, for me, that was Angela and Helen.

“During my breast cancer treatment and especially navigating life afterwards, they were my rocks when everything else felt uncertain. No topic was ever off limits. Whether it was menopause, side effects, or just managing day-to-day energy, they always made the time and created a space where I felt completely supported and understood.

“Their advice, particularly around menopause and women’s health has been invaluable, but what truly sets them apart is how much they care. They’ve become more than nurses; they’ve become friends.

“Hormonal therapy and menopause aren’t easy, but I never feel alone because I know I have them in my corner. Thank you both for being you! Anyone supported by Angela and Helen is in the very best hands” (Robyn, 2026)

“Angela was wonderful in helping me with my breast cancer journey. She was thorough, kind and caring and took the time to always explain how everything worked and what the outcome was expected to be. I loved Angela’s honestly and she helped examine my wound after surgery when I couldn’t get hold of my cancer nurse. I loved having Angela by my side when going through my cancer experience” (Tina, 2026)
